Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

Winner of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

The MBE for voluntary organisations

Following a rigorous nomination and selection process, including a citation by the Lord Lieutenant of Edinburgh, we are delighted to say that the Queen’s Birthday Honours announcement on 2 June 2019 included the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for the PF Counselling Service.

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen’s coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups.  Each group is assessed on the benefit it brings to the local community and its standing within that community.

The prestigious award is recognition for all the hard work, commitment and dedication that is put into the PF by everyone involved: counsellors, receptionists, staff, Board Members, donors and other supporters.

Thank you for being part of it!
